The Grand Corset Ball and Museum Fundraiser
Our annual fundraising events help to build the Antique Corset Museum and create a unique and enjoyable opportunity for the community to get dressed up and enjoy the elegance of the corset.
Once we have raised enough funds for the museum, we look forward to installing and planning our exhibits. Melanie's collection ranges from the 18th century - 1960 with over 300 antique corsets and underpinnings.
The Grand Corset Ball is the first event held in the US and is planned to coincide with the opening of Fashioning the Body exhibit at the Bard museum in New York. The Mechanics of Underwear exhibit borrowed antique pieces from Melanie's collection, and the Fashioning the Body exhibit is doing the same. Friends and clients of Melanie travelled to Paris to see the exhibit and we are excited to see this amazing exhibit come to North America.
The Grand Corset Ball is an opportunity for the lovers of corsetry to come together in celebration! Dress up and enjoy a night of dancing and performance! Or go for the full package weekend of delights, including dinner, the ball, brunch and a private tour of the exhibit! Choose your ticket at kickstarter and support the event and the museum!
